Mansions of madness second edition is a fully cooperative, app-driven board game of horror and mystery for one to five players that takes place in the same universe as eldritch horror and elder sign. You can even purchase scenarios right from the app. The time truly does fly when playing Mansions of Madness – it is so good! And there are many expansion packs you can purchase if you want a change of scenarios.
But if we are playing just myself and my husband, we have attempted some of the three hour plus games. When we play with the girls, we try to keep it under a two hour game. Now each scenario will tell you about how long the game play is when you are selecting it. I might even change which character I choose because of a certain ability they have.

I think of things we need to do differently and how to better handle certain obstacles. To be honest if we fail a mission, it is all I can think about until we get the chance to play it again. Sure, if you are playing the same scenario the end game is the same, but the layout might be different, and the path and monsters along the way are as well. Probably my favorite thing about this game is that every time you play it is different. The box says ages 14+ because it is super creepy – I mean, we are fighting monsters and creatures – but my girls are 6 and 7 and they LOVE it. This is a co-op game, so it is one that we play all together. The last few Sundays have become our day to play and we have loved the bonding experience. But our newest favorite is a combination of both of these – Mansions of Madness. We enjoy all types of games, especially video games and board games.
